Gazi University Faculty of Applied Sciences and Young TEMA Foundation meeting was held at Gazi University Faculty of Applied Sciences Conference Hall.

Gazi University Faculty of Applied Sciences Dean Prof. made the opening speech of the program. Dr. Mehmet Çakmak said, "We are coming together with the mission of providing a better understanding of the work of the TEMA Foundation, which has been working since 1992. We see the widespread impact of the TEMA Foundation against erosion and desertification, especially in these days when climate change is discussed. We are more aware of the mission of the TEMA Foundation and the values it has added to our country." "We believe that we will learn in depth and support a better future for our country," he said.

Nevzat Özer, who has been working voluntarily as the TEMA Foundation Ankara Provincial Representative for 28 years, said, "Throughout history, civilizations have been established in water basins. Anatolian lands have undertaken the task of being a shelter and migration route for all living things. Our country is the only country under three main climate zones. Pointing out the importance of volunteering at TEMA, Özer said, "To be a volunteer at TEMA means to constantly learn and transfer what you learn. Mentioning that TEMA has values that make it reliable and respected in the eyes of the society, Nevzat Özer said, "As a foundation, we constantly check the data by conducting public opinion polls and surveys. We organize professional projects. We follow the plantings we carry out on behalf of donors for at least four years. We make the lands sustainable and "We take care to ensure that clean food reaches the public," he said. Stating that they organize training and projects as TEMA Foundation, Özer said, "We organize educational programs starting from pre-school children. We currently have 150 volunteer teachers. We are also in contact with organizations around the world for global relations. We have 616 representatives across the country. The number of our members has exceeded one million. Speaking at the program, Young TEMA Foundation President Kutay Kenteroğlu said, "Young TEMA is a voluntary organization consisting of university students. We can feel that people trust TEMA Foundation in the activities we carry out. We take an active role in universities. We organize field activity programs. As young people who are aware of nature problems, we take nature walks." "We chat about nature by doing this. There is an incredible ecosystem in Ankara. We try to use and protect it in the best way. By coming together for a common purpose, we also find the opportunity to develop social relations," he said.
